Electrically insulated bearings have a longer service life than other standard non-insulated bearings. Insulated bearings have the same dimensions and load-carrying capacity as non-insulated bearings and are completely interchangeable. The most commonly used insulating coating in motors is the VL0241. Even in humid conditions, it can very well prevent the passage of current. Ceramic coated bearings also require sealing.
